Native to Argentina, Echinopsis huascha is hardy in the arid and semi-arid regions of zones 9-11 and flowers in spring to early summer in Phoenix. Its flowers only last about 18 hours, first opening in the late evening.
Mature plants can reach up to three feet in height and width, with stems that are each about 2-3 inches wide. Three varieties of the plant offer distinct bloom colors as well!
